Like the moon, come out from behind the clouds.  Shine!"

The concept of raising children in a higher consciousness - where the science of physical, mental, and spiritual development is taught to them during those precious early years when their minds are so pliable and still plastic, and their energies are as yet unguided into any definite channel -   is along the lines laid down centuries ago by the Yogi Saints and Rishis (wise men).

The chief distinguishing feature of these schools was the early training on how to interiorize, still, and concentrate the mind on God.  Little angels learned how to find the kingdom of peace and happiness, the kingdom of heaven inside themselves. Through this they learned at an early age the practicality of seeking God first.

Daily practice of simple and scientific methods of concentration and meditation was the key for their physical, mental, and spiritual unfoldment. Another distinctive feature of these schools was the individual attention received by each student and the close study made of their nature and possibilities by their trained teachers -  who kept track of the general character, psychological development, and learning of each child.

The students were divided in groups - not according to age and intellectual progress -  but according to individual moral and spiritual growth.  There was promotion to and degradation from these graded groups by a vote of the students themselves in accordance with the change in temperament and habits.  The guidance and watchful observation was loving and helpful and each student received practical training in self-reliance and opportunity for growth thru responsibility.
